Daily Endurance

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
— Romans 15:5-6

On the tail end of a pretty restless week...exhausted, being constantly clung to, pulled on, and the perfect target for airborne food, this mommy was REFRESHED this morning when I read this scripture.  I've been trying to decide on a scripture to paint big for our living room, and I believe this will be it!

yes...her shirt is correct in every way!  "No NAP, crazy hair, snacks, belly laughs #kidlife"

I tried my best to let go of a lot of expectations this week...and I don't care who you are, we all have expectations.  Not just of others, or our kids, but mostly of ourselves.  I "expect" to be able to paint a simple commissioned sign, or pull out my watercolors for more than 2 minutes, or read more than 6 bible verses, or cook a real meal with 2 hands and free legs...but I'm becoming more comfortable with the fact that these things are just my own ideas, and they don't have to be.  The house doesn't have to be perfectly put together, and the fact that we picked up Chick-fil-a tonight was not only a lifesaver, but their addictive chicken was a treat!  The past 2 days MG and I have just flown by the seat of our pants and did the best we could with early wake up times and 30 minute naps....and today we ended up at the library and then the outlet mall on a shoe hunt!  We've had crazy amounts of laughs to make up for the nap-time blues, so all is well in the house, and as she finally sleeps, I stare at the baby monitor cause I somehow still managed to not get enough of her.  I'm so whooped.  :)

 Snuggles are everything!

Snuggles are everything!

I hope y'all have had a great week!  Also, I'm truly thankful for all the other mamas God has put in my life to encourage and equip me in my first year with a baby!  It's made the experience so sweet and special, and this has definitely been my favorite year ever!  I have some really fun art adventures planned...loosely, as this one dictates my time at the moment heehee....but seriously....I have some things I must create or bust!  So I'm believing that God will honor the well that's about to burst out of me and grant this baby some naps SOON!

In the meantime, I'm going to keep the verse I started this blog with close to my heart, mind, and lips.  That our family would glorify Jesus as we live in harmony, enduring the hard days, fully encouraged by the Lord Himself!  So thankful for that hope we have in Him!

Be blessed!
